Each year, the Fox Lake Preservation Organization stocks thousands of fish in Fox Lake! Yesterday, we stocked over 7,300 fish into the lake with the help of students from Fox Lake SAGES School For Agricultural and Environmental Studies:
3,077 Black Crappie - 5”
2,500 Perch - 6”
1,539 Walleye - 7”
193 Musky - 13”
We want to say “THANK YOU” to our members, our local business sponsors, the Winnebagoland Musky Club, and for everyone that adds money into the donation boxes around town for the financial support to stock Fox Lake annually! Between the FLPO and the WDNR, there has been over 400,000 fish stocked into Fox Lake over the past 5 years!
The students from SAGES school spent time with our local WDNR Biologist, Mark Baldock, to learn more about the life cycle of fish and the importance of stocking lakes. Thank you Mark and SAGES school for being part of this special fish stocking event!
